Michele Egar | Freelance Senior Designer

Print, pixels, concepts and craft. Rich, meaningful ideas that resonate and delight.

With a passion for creative and strategic thinking, my approach centres around blending sound strategy with beautifully crafted design. I’m all about the big thinking, the story telling and how to translate this into practical outputs.

I love building impactful visual narratives that resonate strongly with audiences and I work hard to ensure that my solutions are unique, meaningful and meet the objective of the brief.

  • I’ve worked with global, European, regional and local brands alike and so am a highly proactive client-facing designer, with the ability to clearly and persuasively present my work and rationale behind it.

I can tailor my style and the level of ‘hand-holding’ required on any given project – it’s key that clients are bought along on a journey and clearly understand each stage of a project’s life cycle.

Having worked with a diverse range of clients, audiences and stakeholders across both public and private sectors – including childrens’ publishing, charities, not-for-profits and healthcare advertising agencies, I continue to actively seek to work with people who also wish to contribute to our world in positive ways.

  • I am fully committed to diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace (and beyond), and was the LGBTQI+ representative in my previous employers’ Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiative for several years.

Over that time, I helped to promote the unit as a whole by creating a brand identity and subsequent materials and worked with HR and internal recruitment teams to redevelop the agency’s employee policies, employee handbook etc. so that all touch points were attractive to new talent and inclusive for employees.

I also worked to promote, support and educate on LGBTQI+ issues, by creating social posts and PDFs, by highlighting key calendar dates with educational materials and by arranging social events – including a Boogaloo Stu Bingo night for Pride Month.
